Back to his home

Rouge finally reached the path he new at the top of the mountain. He looked around, his bone in paw and garchomp skull on his head. He was the old path to the cave he had lived in before. He walked down the path and snapped to the wall the moment he heard some noise. His old cave was no occupied by some other pokemon. He looked around the corner towards the cave, there was light inside as a fire, but he could not see anything else. He knew that if there were any powerful pokemon he'd be crushed, but he also knew that if he didn't go in he'd have nowhere to sleep for the night. He decided to take a chance and turned the corner, walking towards the mouth of the cave.

Rouge crept in as quietly as he could, his bone at the ready for an attack. He moved slowly, getting behind the sleeping Ivysaur to the back of the cave he used to call home. He kept his back to the wall creeping into the shadows before quickly running to the darkest part of the cave, searching the walls for a crack in them. It wasn't just any crack, but the one he kept an emergency stash of berries. Finding it he stuck his paw in to search for the berries.

Rouge's entire body stiffened as the words echoed in the cavern. He gave up the search for his berries, knowing they would be long gone. Slowly he turned to face the Pokemon. He readied his bone for a fight, knowing that this intruder may very well end his life here and now. Rouge now wished he had never run from the town to get back here.

"Y-you're i-in my home..." He kept himself against the wall, trying to gauge the intruder's strength.

Rouge grabbed her and pulled Karelle right back into the cave on a high ledge, the Rhydon walked in slowly, stamping out the fire in it's attempt to look for the Ivysaur but cloud not find the two Pokemon. It roared loudly before it left, stopping off

"N-never talk to Riggs when h-he's in a bad mood... H-he'd kill you as soon a-as look at you..." Rouge was shaken by the close encounter, forgetting all about her invasion of his home.

(sorry had to go on a long trip >.< ) Rouge gulped. "I-I was more w-worried a-about you g-getting on h-his bad s-side.... L-last o-one to get o-on it h-hasn't b-been able t-to talk t-to anyone due t-to an 'a-accidental' rock slide b-breaking h-his jaw i-in so many p-places e-even a blissy w-was helpless t-to cure it..." He shivered. He knew that the young machop didn't deserve it.

The cuebone shivered, not from the cold, but to think that Riggs might have died then. Riggs wasn't nice, but he didn't deserve to die, no one deserved to die. Suddenly, Rouge looked around, remembering that there was a small hole in the ground where occasionally a shiny metal object could be seen. Making his way to it slowly, he reached in and pulled it out.

"If you know a lot... what is this thing?" Rouge had always wondered what it was, but never found out. It was small and circular, one part had a raised gem in it of a reddish greenish hue.

"It is...? why has it been in my cave for years...?" Rouge studied it confusedly, not really sure of how it could have gotten in his home.
