Winter and Spring

Subject: Winter and Spring Mon Feb 03, 2014 7:31 pm

Snowflake was casually bouncing around the park, when she was a new face. She blew some ice on the ground, and slid all the way over to him on her stomach. "Hi, I'm Snowflake, are you new in town?. She asked curiously, hoping to learn more about the stranger.

Sage was just strolling through the forest, admiring the trees and the flowers. The birds and the bees were flitting about, and it was a relatively nice day. He liked it here, being a grass type and all, and enjoyed doing nothing in the serenity. With a smile, he breathed in the fresh, sweet air... Before almost having a heart attack when he felt something nudge his foot. Turning around with a jump, he felt a smile creep onto his face when he saw a glaceon, gazing up at him with her surprisingly green eyes on a patch of ice. He just nodded in response to her question, stretching out a paw to help her get up.

Snowflake grabbed his paw, and pulled herself up. "Cool!, what do you do?, do you have a job yet?" She asked curiously, while her tail waggled in joy despite her being a fox. The ice behind her didn't last long in this weather, and was almost gone, leaving the ground moist and good for whatever plantlife that would be there.

Sage hauled the glaceon up, unsurprisingly feeling that her fur and paws were cool and soothing to the touch. He was a little overwhelmed, to be perfectly honest. Here was this pokemon, yabbering away at him and bombarding him with questions while he just stood there, stunned. Smiling again, he shook his head twice to answer both of her questions, and eyed the watery patch on the ground with approval.

"Aw, it's cool. I'm sure you can get a job around here. Even if you don't, rent is free, and you can pick berries in the forests!" Snowflake exclaimed, and practically exploded in a rainbow of "you will be okay". "Do you have a house yet?, need help looking?" Snowflake asked curiously, wanting to make sure that her new friend had a good place to stay.

Sage chuckled to himself at the mention of cool, since she was, rather fittingly, a glaceon. She was adorable, just the fact that she had so much energy. He nodded, shrugging to show that he didn't really mind or need one since food was boundless if you just looked hard enough. He was really drowning in a sea of questions, just like he thought he would be. He pondered that question carefully, though. Would he need help? He decided to answer the first question with a shake of the head, before shrugging and half-nodding. He didn't mind help.

"Well, it would be a shame to let you sleep outside when there is about three empty houses that you could enjoy. I would even offer you a place to stay if you were desperate. You seem a bit chill about it though." Snowflake offered, and sat down, waiting for Sage's response.

I love sneaking in "cool" jokes in her sentences xD

Sage was surprised at the amount of hospitality this glaceon right here was willing to offer. She was just so friendly, even going so far to let him crash at her place. Snowflake was literally oozing hospitality at the moment, and he was kind of a little freaked out by the sheer level of it. He just nodded again, before realising she didn't even know his name, although one of the first things she had done was introduce herself. Face-pawing, he said on sole word. "Sage."

"Sage?" Snowflake asked, and entered a thinker's pose. It didn't take her long to realize what he meant, and she almost had a visible lightbulb above her head when she figured it out. "Oh, my name is Snowflake, nice to meet you" She responded and offered a pawshake.

Sage accepted said pawshake, chuckling a little. A wind picked up, carrying the scent of flowers and general plant life towards the two, and his tail and ears drifted in time to the heart beat of the wind. "So..." he paused, clearing his throat. "How are... you?" he asked, hoping she would hear him since he practically whispered it.

Snowflake's ears twitched, and she looked at Sage as if she could hear everything in the whole region. "I'm fine, I just had lunch, and got a new friend it seems!. I also had fun swimming with a Goldeen, but she was kinda a jerk about being a better swimmer. Of course she was, she is a fish. I offered to have her try to be as cocky on land, but she of course declined" Snowflake giggled a bit, and stretched. "How about yourself?" She asked with a small smile.

Sage grinned, happy that he was already being considered a "friend" by this pokemon whom he barely knew. He laughed a little at the little TAIL (mind the pun) about the Goldeen, and how things had not gone quite what he would call SWIMMINGLY. (hur hur hur) Sage shrugged, sitting down on the ground as his tail swished back and forth across the grass. "No... Nothing much. Just been alone, doing... nothing." he said, not upset about this whole deal as he probably should have been.

Snowflake tilted her head a bit, and her ears twitched in unison. She liked sleeping, and relaxing, which was the closest she could come to nothing, so it was her first assumption. "Sounds relaxing. Can't bounce around all the time anyway." She replied and stretched a bit, to loosen up her joints a bit.

Sage nodded, his tail still making a calming and very relaxing sound as it brushed over the ground. "I... I like being... alone." he said, looking down at his paws as he knew that most pokemon could never understand why he was like that. They always thought he was just quiet, and because of that couldn't make friends, but that was only half the story.

"Cool!, that is understandable. Some things are more fun alone. It's nice to be able to think a bit without someone hugging the air out of you." Snowflake commented, and curled her tail a bit in excitement despite the conversation is mainly about relaxing xD

Sage smiled, happy that she knew what he was like. There were so many times in his past that people had actually laughed at him, or pushed him into things he didn't want to do because they thought it would help. He reached out a paw, patting Snowflake on the head a couple of times. "Thanks... You're cute." he said in a totally friendly way, smiling and tilting his head slightly.

Snowflake blushed a bit. Usually when pokemon called her that, it was meant as a flirt. She assumed it was the case, but didn't think more about it as she wasn't really interested in finding a mate at the time. "Thanks, your sweet" Snowflake complimented in return with a smile.

Sage flushed, taking a step back when the implications of what he had said sunk in, and Snowflake gave him that look. "Oh.... Uh... I didn't! No! Didn't..." he stammered, glancing around uncomfortably, before sinking low and hiding his face in his paws. "It was just a compliment." he mumbled, embarrassed and unable to look her in the eye.

"Oh!, it's cool. A compliment is a compliment. Mine still stands" Snowflake said and pushed her cheeks together. She suddenly got a funny face and left out a few gasps, until finally she sneezed out a little bit of glittering snow off to the side. "Pardon me" She said, feeling like she interrupted something.

Sage separated his paws slightly, peering through them and blinking at her. "You... You sure? You not mad at me?" he asked, a little scared and slightly worried. He didn't want to risk losing a new friend. Realising she had complimented him, he flushed red again. He wasn't very good at taking compliment.

"Why would I do that?, a compliment is still a compliment silly. Besides, being besties is better than being strangers, don't you agree?" Snowflake responded, licking her paw without a care in the world.

Sage lifted his paws away after a couple of minutes, beaming an earnest smile that ha d somehow wormed onto his face. "Okay. Besties." he said, stretching out a paw for her to shake/punch, whatever floated her boat.

Snowflake grabbed his paw and shook it with an amazing amount of energy. "Okie dokie." Snowflake got a fun thought and leaned really close to Sage. "Since you weren't flirting...Do you have a love interest?~" Snowflake giggled a bit, knowing that he was a shy guy, but she felt like learning more anyway.

Sage blushed, leaning backwards as she leaned forwards. "Uh... No. Not yet..." he said, feeling oddly comfortable with this glaceon. He was still uncomfortable, mind you, just less so. Maybe her friendliness was contagious or something.

"Oh, that's fine!. I know lots of cute girls around town that you could meet in case you get lonely. Maybe even some guys too if your into that." Snowflake said while bouncing around Sage in circles in a Pinkie Pie esk fashion.
