Sable was watching the skies, like he always did. The sunset glimmered beautifully on the horizon, casting a stunning glow of a myriad of colours across the clouds. Perched on top of a tree, He could get the perfect view of the sun, the moon and the star, and boy was he loving it.

Sable was just naming the constellations casually in his head when he heard a squeal from below. Almost absent-mindedly, he glanced down, seeing a ninetales quivering behind a bush. He just smiled. "You don't have to be afraid."

Sable quirked an eyebrow. Shrugging it off, he decided to give the ninetales a bit of space, and resumed going back to the stars. He was too far away to really be able to discern any features, but he assumed that it would take a little time and decided to give it.

Sable sensed the other pokemon coming over, and began to climb down the tree. he slowly made his descent, before coming out on a branch right above the pathway, lying down and peering at the pokemon below him. "Hello."

Sable quirked an eyebrow, but could relate. There was a time in his life when he too was scared of his own shadow. "What's your name?" he asked, tilting his head slightly as his eyes glinted in the sparse moonlight.

Sable frowned. "Strange name for a girl." he mused, somewhat to himself as well as the ninetales. "Also, my name's Sable."

Sable wondered why the ninetales was looking down, and totally missed what it said, only just getting the smallest hint of sound wafting to his ears. "Sorry, what was that?"

Sable nodded slowly, before shrugging it off and lying down comfortably on the branch, his tail swishing back and forth hypnotically. "So, what brings you here?"

Sable frowned slightly. "This late? You know there are bad pokemon. It's dangerous for everyone, especially a girl such as yourself." he said, peering down at Zenthon.

Sable sighed. "That's what they all say." he trailed off, rolling onto his back and staring at the sky before continuing. "Then they get surrounded and I have to drag em to the hospital."

"Good job." he grinned, happy that this Ninetales at least had one good, stable move up his sleeve. "Hope it doesn't fail ya when the time comes."

Sable nodded, yawning a little. "Sure." he said with a smile. "So why are you here. Seriously." he said, staring straight into Zenthon's eyes.

Sable sighed, shacking his head. "If you say so." he said, before lapsing into a calm and peaceful silence, resuming his previous constellation watching.

Sable frowned. He thought it was pretty obvious what he was doing. "Looking at the constellations." he stated, wondering how Zenthon couldn't tell that he was doing that.

Sable closed his eyes once Zenthon stopped talking. He was tired, and kind of bored also. After a couple of minutes, he fell into what he called "limbo". He'd been able to do this for as long as he could remember - it was a state of half sleep, half waking, meaning if danger arose he could wake up in about five seconds.

Sable snapped awake, and sprang up into a defensive position, fur bristling and teeth bared, ready to fight. When he noticed it was just Zenthon, he breathed a sigh of relief and laid back down, paws behind his head. "Shesh. I thought something was wrong." he muttered, rolling over.

Sable rolled back over, feeling a little guilty. "Sorry bout that. It's just... Generally, pokemon don't touch me unless to attack." he explained, hoping he hadn't scared Zenthon too badly.

Sable watched the act, before chuckling to himself as Zenthon fell over. He leaned over the other pokemon, eyes level. "What's gotten you acting like you're walking on ice?" he asked, a hint of humour to his voice.

Sable stared for a bit, before shrugging and proceeding to look back up to the sky, falling silent as he studied the pattern and maps of stars in the ebony sky. They glimmered like jewels, and he couldn't help but smile. "It's beautiful, ain't it?"

Sable didn't respond for a couple of minutes, before he looked at Zenthon and studied him, up and down, eventually shrugging. "Eh. Doesn't matter to me much."

Sable just flopped onto the ground, stretching a little bit before relaxing. He hummed a short tune to himself, often backtracking and adding notes here and there. His mind whirred away in the relaxing silence.

"Oh. Okay." Sable said, standing also and whistling a short tune as he followed after Zenthon. "I've got nothing better to do. May as well see you out. On your "walk"." he said, smiling as his eyes glinted in the moonlight.

Sable hummed, glancing around left and right to make sure that there were no other pokemon stalking them. He hoped this would go uneventfully and he could go back to doing what he did, but he doubted that would be the case.

Sable shrugged. "I got nothing better to do. If anything interesting is going to happen it'd be around you mate." he stated bluntly, before stopping in his tracks. "If you're sure though." he said, turning tail and beginning to walk back the way he came.

Sable raised an eyebrow, but didn't say anything and turned back around. "Sure." he said, a little confused at the sudden mood fluctuation but not saying anything.
